BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: February 7, 2017 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Tracy Stage SUBJECT: Assignment of Lease and Amendment Two to Stanley Gordon Hangar Lease DEPARTMENT: Airport BCC DISTRICT: 5 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Airports Department requests approval by the Board of County Commissioners of a proposed Assignment of Hangar Lease and Amendment from Stanley J Gordon Jr. Estate to Aero-Marine, LLC for Block 8 Lot 5 at the Destin Executive Airport (L08- 0329-AP). BACKGROUND: Stanley J. Gordon, Jr., entered into a lease for hangar space on February 11, 2002 and the lease was assigned to his Estate on July 6, 2016. His estate is requesting to assign the hangar to Aero Marine, LLC, Mr. Scott Cunningham. Mr. Gordon's Estate is in full compliance with all current lease requirements. The hangar transfer fee has been received. Aero-Marine's certificate of insurance is attached along with the contract and lease internal coordination sheet. OPTIONS: Approve, Reject or Table. RECOMMENDATIONS: It is Staff's recommendation to approve this Assignment of Lease and Amendment as stated above. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
