BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: September 15, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Jason Autrey SUBJECT: Renew Beach Cleaning Equipment Storage Lease DEPARTMENT: Public Works BCC DISTRICT: 5 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval to renew a lease with Destin Water Users, Inc. for an additional year for the storage of equipment related to beach cleaning activities. BACKGROUND: On January 6, 2015 the Board entered a lease agreement with Destin Water Users, Inc. for the use of 2.15 acres to facilitate the storage of equipment related to cleaning the beaches in the Destin area. The annual fee for the lease agreement is $11,250.00. Destin Water Users, Inc. has agreed to renew the lease for an additional year. . OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove the renewal of the lease agreement between Okaloosa County and Destin Water Users, Inc. for an annual fee of $11,250.00 for Beach Cleaning activities, extending the lease from October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2016. RECOMMENDATIONS: Approve the renewal of the lease agreement for 2.15 acres between Okaloosa County and Destin Water Users, Inc. for an annual fee of $11,250.00 for Beach Cleaning activities, extending the lease from October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2016.
