STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval of the contract with Bullard Excavating for the
Oak Hill Road Repairs Project. (RFB PW 29-16).
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: On April 5, 2016 the Board approved the bid to Bullard
Excavating for the Oak Hill Road Repairs Project for the total price of $440,069.50. The term of
the contract is proposed at 150 calendar days from the commencement date. Staff has prepared
the contract and requests authorization for the Chairman to sign the document. This is a Federal
Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) reimbursed project.
The project includes the demolition, regrading and repaving of Oak Hill Road in Crestview.
Drainage improvements consisting of new pipe installation, concrete headwalls, concrete ditch
pavement and new inlets are also included. The total length of the project is approximately 963
feet and includes associated signage and striping.
OPTIONS: Approve/Deny the contract with Bullard Excavating for the Oak Hill Road Repairs
Project for the price of $440,069.50, and authorization for the Chairman to sign the document.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the contract with Bullard Excavating
for the Oak Hill Road Repairs Project for the price of $440,069.50, and authorization for the
