STATEMENT OF ISSUE: At this time staff is requesting Board approval and execution of four
(4) continuing services contracts to service the County’s FDOT LAP projects. Two firms were
recently selected to provide Engineering and Design Professional Services and two additional
firms were selected for Construction, Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services.
BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS: Previously, the Board approved a selection committee to
review, rank and select four firms from two advertised RFQ’s to service the County’s LAP
projects; two for Engineering and Design Services, and two for Construction Engineering and
Inspection (CEI) Services. At that time, the Board also approved staff to move forward with
negotiations of the contract scope and rates in order to obtain FDOT concurrence before final
approval and execution by the Board.
The approved selection committee met on May 29th and ranked/selected the following four firms:
1) DRMP, Inc. | Design & Engineering Services
2) Genesis Group, LLC | Design & Engineering Services
3) HDR Construction Control Corp. | CEI Services
4) Genesis CEI Services, LLC | CEI Services
Staff has negotiated all four contracts and has received concurrence from FDOT to move forward
with contract execution. These four continuing services contracts will have a five-year contract
term which will save the County much time and effort in procuring these services. Task work
orders will be issued to each consultant, based on the service required, on an alternating basis for
all LAP projects over the next five years.
OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove the four negotiated contracts to service the County’s FDOT
LAP projects and allow the Chairman to sign and execute.
