BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: December 6, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Tracy Stage SUBJECT: Request approval to award contract to First Southwest DEPARTMENT: Airport BCC DISTRICT: 2 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Airports Department requests Board approval of the contract for FirstSouthwest, a Division of Hilltop Securities Inc., to provide financial advisory Services for the Destin - Fort Walton Beach Airport. (RFP AP 68-16) BACKGROUND: On August 10, 2016 proposals were received from two (2) vendors for the Destin - Fort Walton Beach Airport financial advisory services. The review committee recommendation and contract negotiation process was approved by the Board on September 20, 2016. We are now requesting that the contract be approved and awarded to FirstSouthwest, a Division of Hilltop Securities, Inc for a monthly retainer of $1,687.50 per month not to exceed $20,250.00 per year. The Purchasing Department has reviewed and approved the contract. The contract is being submitted to the Board for approval. OPTIONS: Approve, Reject or Table. RECOMMENDATIONS: It is Staff's recommendation the Board approve the contract for FirstSouthwest, a Division of Hilltop Securities Inc., to provide financial advisory services at the Destin - Fort Walton Beach Airport.
