BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: April 5, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: John Vaughn SUBJECT: Direct Payment Request to Truck Equipment DEPARTMENT: Fleet BCC DISTRICT: ALL STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval for direct payment of the January 29, 2016 Truck Equipment invoice for a total of $5,587.70. BACKGROUND: Truck Equipment is a provider of VMAC air compressor systems. A compressor was supplied to Fleet Operations as a warranty replacement in January 2016. Later Truck Equipment informed Fleet Operations that VMAC would not allow the warranty claim and that Fleet Operations would be charged for the compressor supplied. This is an "after-the- fact" purchase because no requisition was submitted prior to taking delivery. Direct payment will be required to pay the invoice. OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove RECOMMENDATIONS: Recommend approval for direct payment of the January 29, 2016 Truck Equipment invoice in the amount of $5,587.70. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
