DEPARTMENT: Purchasing BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval of the Fourth Amendment to Emergency Systems Services, Inc. contract. (C09-1752-FM). BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: Emergency Systems Services, Inc. (ESSI) has a contact with the County for annual maintenance and repair of generators. Facility Maintenance staff are currently assessing the needs for generator maintenance County-wide with the hopes to consolidate contracts. This consolidation will allow upcoming procurement to include more sites and the possibility of more advantageous pricing. The contract had an expiration date of September 30, 2015 however staff requests to extend the contract to allow for the procurement process. Staff requests Board approval of the Fourth Amendment to the ESSI contract (C09- 1752-FM) to extend the expiration to December 31, 2015 and to make the amendment retroactive to September 30, 2015. Staff also requests the Board authorize the Chairman to sign the document. OPTIONS: Approve/Deny the Fourth Amendment to the Emergency Systems Services, Inc. contract with a retroactive date of September 30, 2015 (C09-1752-FM) and authorize the Chairman to sign the document. RECOMMENDATION: Approve/Deny the Fourth Amendment to the Emergency Systems Services, Inc. contract with a retroactive date of September 30, 2015 (C09-1752-FM) and authorize the Chairman to sign the document.
