STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval to award the bid to Dalton Brothers, Inc. for the
taxi stand enclosure at the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport for the amount of $151,643.
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: On September 30, 2015, three (3) bids were received for the
construction of a taxi stand enclosure at the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport. The responses
were reviewed by Airport staff and Michael Baker International as the technical consultant, who
determined that Dalton Brothers, Inc. was fully responsive and the lowest bid. This total bid
included the base bid at $149,243 and alternate No. 1 for expoxy flooring at $2,400 for a total
bid price of $151,643. Based on this determination, staff requests approval to award the bid to
Dalton Brothers, Inc. for the taxi stand enclosure at the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport for the
amount of $151,643. The proposed contract will be brought back before the Board for approval.
