BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: November 3, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Ed Schroeder SUBJECT: TDC Chair & Vice Chair DEPARTMENT: Tourist Development Department BCC DISTRICT: 2,4,5 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Selection of the TDC Chairman and Vice-Chairman for FY 2016. BACKGROUND: Pursuant to the Tourist Development Council Bylaws, “The Board may designate the Council Chairman or allow the Council to elect a Chairman. Terms for the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Council shall be for one (1) fiscal year and they may be reappointed.” At its October 22 meeting, the TDC voted to reappoint Dale Peterson as Chairman and reappoint Tom Rice as Vice-Chairman for fiscal year 2016. No action is necessary unless the Board wishes to exercise its option to designate the TDC Chairman and Vice-Chairman. OPTIONS: Approve or Disapprove RECOMMENDATION: Approve the TDC’s election of Dale Peterson as Chairman and Tom Rice as Vice-Chairman for fiscal year 2016. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
