BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: December 15, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Ed Schroeder SUBJECT: Monthly Reconciliation of Promo Reserves DEPARTMENT: Tourist Development Department BCC DISTRICT: 2,4,5 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Providing the monthly reconciliation of the use of promotional reserve funds. BACKGROUND: Per the adopted FY16 Strategic Marketing Plan: “Promotional Reserve funds may be appropriated in accordance with County approval authority and with concurrence of the TDC Chairman. A monthly reconciliation of the use of promotional reserve funds will be provided to the TDC and BCC for informational purposes.” Promotional reserves in the amount of $100,000 were budgeted, of which $8,500 has been previously appropriated. During the past month, and additional $1,725 was appropriated to Pets Welcome Here and $2,000 was allocated to membership with the Florida Sports Foundation. The Gulf-to-Table media campaign to be presented to the TDC on December 10 includes the use of $29,614 from promotional reserves. Promotional reserves in the amount of $58,161 remain available for appropriation. OPTIONS: N/A RECOMMENDATION: For informational purposes only; no action required.
