BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: July 7, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Jason Autrey SUBJECT: Mosquito Control FY16 Detailed Work Plan Budget transmittal to FDACS DEPARTMENT: Public Works BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) require all Florida Mosquito Control Districts to produce a Detailed Work Plan (DWP) budget for the upcoming fiscal year. BACKGROUND: The DWP budget is a snapshot of a planned Okaloosa Mosquito Control District (OCMCD) budget for the upcoming Fiscal Year 2016. The attached DWP budget is equivalent to the preliminary budget presented to and reviewed by the County Administrator as part of the budget review process. The DWP budget is not expected to be the final OCMCD budget, but provides FDACS with information utilized in State legislative decisions on Mosquito Control grant allocations. Final district budgets are to be delivered to FDACS on September 30th of each year as the Annual Certified Budget for Arthropod Control. The DWP Budget is delivered to FDACS before July 15th each calendar year. OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends the Board approve the FY16 Detailed Work Plan Budget and allow the Chairman to sign the budget and any other related Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services documentation relating to the FY2016 Okaloosa County Mosquito Control District budget for fiscal year 2016.
