BACKGROUND: Staff was directed to develop an evaluation form for applicants to provide feedback regarding the new Local Event Marketing Funding program. Questions are related to improving the process itself. Staff cautions against soliciting stakeholder input regarding funding guidelines (e.g. authorized uses, backup documentation requirements) as the County is unable to accommodate requests to loosen those requirements. The current policy was established in response to the Auditor General’s report, which identified several deficiencies in the prior policy: “documentation of expenses to evidence that the grants were used for allowable purposes”, “evidence that the special events were effective in increasing the use of lodging facilities”, and “methodology for calculating the amounts of the grants.” OPTIONS: N/A RECOMMENDATION TO BCC: N/A, for staff guidance purposes only.  Local Event Marketing Funding Process Evaluation Form Thank you for hosting your event on the Emerald Coast!
