STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval to reallocate unused promotional reserve funds from
Florida Golf Guide sweepstakes to Dish Worth the Drive.
BACKGROUND: In January, promotional reserve funds in the amount of $5,575 were approved for a
sweepstakes along with the Florida Golf Guide print advertisement. The sweepstakes did not occur
because the vendor was unable to provide the requisite sweepstakes information and documentation.
The County has been offered an opportunity to air the Emerald Coast Dining Video in Episode #2 of
Dish Worth the Drive: Southern Eats at a cost of $2,500. Segment duration: 6 minutes, 18 seconds.
Footage from the recent Atlanta Eats production would be used. The value of this buy is $30,000 and
includes distribution of the Emerald Coast long form video to 44 TV markets; the episode will air 2
times in each market. In addition, the Emerald Coast video will receive distribution on
SouthernLiving.com. Run dates: must air Sep 19 – Oct 25.
