BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: September 20, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Zan Fedorak SUBJECT: Request approval to remove a bus from the fixed asset ledger for donation to Bridgeway DEPARTMENT: Purchasing BCC DISTRICT: ALL STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval of the donation of a bus to Bridgeway and removal of the item from the fixed asset list. BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: Per Section 7, 2(I) of the Tangible Personal Property, Commodity Inventory & Accountability Manual (Property Manual) the County Administrator may approve the donation of a fixed asset and provide notification to the Board. The County Administrator has approved for a 2007 Chevrolet C4500 23’ Bus to be donated to Bridgeway. This bus was being prepared for disposition, however, Bridgeway has expressed a desire to further utilize the vehicle. (Bridgeway had requested the utilization of two (2) buses, unfortunately only one bus was available.) Staff requests Board authorization to remove the bus from the fixed asset list. The fixed asset number and vehicle information is listed below: 2007 Chevrolet C4500 Bus (Champion) 23 FT (VIN 1GBEHV1217F404217) County Asset No. 07J17420 OPTIONS: Approve/Deny removal of asset number 07J17420 (2007 Chevrolet C4500 Bus 23 FT) from the fixed asset list for donation to Bridgeway. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of removal of asset number 07J17420 (2007 Chevrolet C4500 Bus 23 FT) from the fixed asset list for donation to Bridgeway.
