STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval of Amendment One (1) to the Schindler Elevator
contract to extend the date of expiration to complete the procurement process.
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: Staff requests approval of Amendment One to the Schindler
Elevator contract to extend the expiration date. The current contract is scheduled to expire on
January 31, 2016 however, Amendment One (1) will extend the expiration date to May 31, 2016.
This extension of the contract will allow time for staff to complete the procurement process.
Staff requests approval of Amendment One to the Schindler Elevator preventative maintenance
contract and authorization for the Chairman to sign the document. This contract provides
elevator preventive maintenance for the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport.
OPTIONS: Approve/Deny Amendment One (1) to the Schindler Elevator contract to extend the
date of expiration to May 31, 2016 and authorization for the Chairman to sign the document.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of Amendment One (1) to the Schindler
Elevator contract to extend the date of expiration to May 31, 2016 and authorization for the
Chairman to sign the document.
