STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval of Amendment One to the Horizons (dba Arc of
the Emerald Coast) contract for janitorial services for the beach parks.
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: The Purchasing Division requests approval to remove the
performance bond requirement from the Horizons (dba Arc of the Emerald Coast) contract for
the janitorial services for the beach parks. As a result of certain unique circumstances related to
this contract, and the services to be provided under it, it is elected not to have the vendor provide
the performance bond required within the contract. However, the County reserves the right to
include the performance bond requirement in subsequent contracts for this service. Staff
requests Board approval of Amendment One to the Horizons (dba Arc of the Emerald Coast)
contract for janitorial services for beach parks.
OPTIONS: Approve/Deny Amendment One to remove the performance bond requirement from
the Horizons (dba Arc of the Emerald Coast) contract for the janitorial services for the beach
parks.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of Amendment One to remove the
performance bond requirement from the Horizons (dba Arc of the Emerald Coast) contract for
