BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: August 18, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Jason Autrey SUBJECT: Main Street Overlay-Holt DEPARTMENT: Public Works BCC DISTRICT: District 3 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: As the road paving crew prepares to execute the FY 15 road resurfacing list, it has been determined that sufficient funding is available within the District 3 annual allocation (including carry forward from the previous year) to include the overlay of Main Street in Holt estimated at $12,000.00. BACKGROUND: Annually staff provides a list of streets recommended for overlay to the Board of County Commissioners utilizing funds allocated per district. The road paving crew is about to start the FY 15 overlay list for District 3 and it has been determined that funds are available to add the overly of Main Street in Holt to the currently approved list. The estimated overlay cost is $12,000, funds are available/existing with the district account due to favorable costs and funds carry forward from the prior fiscal year. As crews continue moving forward with the roadway overlay list for each district, staff is hopeful that additional projects may become possible once actual costs are known. Should funding become available a request will be presented to the Board of County Commissioners to include additional roadways for improvement. OPTIONS: Approve/disapprove the request to add the overlay of Main St in the Holt area to the FY 15 District 3 resurfacing list utilizing funds available in account 3204-553013.
