STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval of the contract with Champion Contractors,
Incorporated for the interior renovation of the Visitor’s Center.
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: On December 1, 2015 the Board approved the bid award to
Champion Contractors, Incorporated for a total price of $62,557 for renovation of the Visitor’s
Center. The renovation will include reducing the size of the existing conference area to create
office space. Staff has prepared the contract and the document is ready for the Chairman’s
signature. Staff requests Board approval for the Chairman to sign the contract. (Due to the size
