STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval to remove an ambulance from the fixed asset list
for donation to the City of Fort Walton Beach Police Department.
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: Per Section 7, 2(I) of the Tangible Personal Property,
Commodity Inventory & Accountability Manual (Property Manual) the County Administrator
may approve the donation of a fixed asset and provide notification to the Board. The County
Administrator has approved an ambulance to be donated to the City of Fort Walton Beach Police
Department. This ambulance was being prepared for disposition through the County auction
process, however, the City of Fort Walton Beach Police Department expressed a desire to further
utilize the ambulance. Staff requests Board authorization to remove the ambulance from the
fixed asset list. The fixed asset number and vehicle information is listed below:
