TOURIST DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT MEMORANDUM DATE: December 15, 2016 TO: Tourist Development Council FROM: Darrel Jones, Interim Tourist Development Department Director Maureen Morgenthien, Deputy Director Sales & Marketing SUBJECT: Bill Dance Contract STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval for the 2017 Bill Dance Promotion Agreement in the amount of $55,000. BACKGROUND: According to the County’s former agency, Peter Mayer, the Bill Dance program is the #1 rated show in its category against the target fishing audience. Consistent with prior year marketing, the Bill Dance agreement provides for personal endorsement, production of one new episode on the waters of the Emerald Coast, in-show sponsored segment exposure, website link, and Facebook posts for the 2017 calendar year. Pursuant to section E.300 of the TDD Manual, the Council shall review and provide a recommendation for all proposed contracts requiring Board approval and expenditure of tourist development tax dollars. OPTIONS: Approve or Deny RECOMMENDATION TO BCC: Approve the 2017 Bill Dance Promotion Agreement in the amount of $55,000.
