TOURIST DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT MEMORANDUM DATE: December 15, 2016 TO: Tourist Development Council FROM: Darrel Jones, Interim Tourist Development Department Director Maureen Morgenthien, Deputy Director Sales & Marketing SUBJECT: Lodging Bookings RFP Review Committee Member STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Appoint a member to serve on the review committee for the Request for Proposals (RFP) for Destination Lodging Bookings Data Services. BACKGROUND: At its September 22 meeting, the Tourist Development Council voted to have staff take the necessary steps to obtain forward-looking reports based on future lodging bookings for condos and/or hotels. The Board has authorized staff to issue an RFP for destination lodging bookings data services. One member of the RFP review committee is a member appointed by the Tourist Development Council. Staff requests the TDC appoint its member to the review committee. OPTIONS: N/A – the TDC to make an appointment. RECOMMENDATION TO BCC: N/A – the name of the TDC’s appointment will be forwarded to purchasing.
