(APWRF) This emergency P.O. was for the purchase of a new gear box. The purchase of a new gear box was decided upon by internal management coordination over the repair of the old gearbox due to the time and turn-around. Getting the centrifuge back on-line as soon as possible was paramount due to the centrifuge being a single point of failure for the APWREF. The centrifuge is now back on-line and operating efficiently. Through extensive coordination with ANDRITZ representatives and OCWS management, it has been determined that looking forward, with best management practices in solving future occurrences as it relates to extended downtimes due to centrifuge failure, to have in our spare parts inventory a complete rebuild assembly for the centrifuge. This would entail a new or rebuilt gearbox, (requesting on separate sole source) scroll conveyor and front and rear end bearing assemblies. The APWRF centrifuge is a high-tech precision machine manufactured by ANDRITZ Separation, Inc. and only parts manufactured by ANDRITZ are compatible. ANDRITZ currently has one new scroll conveyor (part# 131127320) available that is compatible to our centrifuge and have quoted OCWS a 10% discounted price of $29,623.50. OCWS recommends moving forward with this sole sourced purchase of the scroll conveyor. This will give OCWS a new scroll conveyor to have in inventory as part of a complete rebuild assembly which will allow us to better manage and repair any centrifuge downtimes which may occur in the future. 250 Roberts Blvd. - FORT WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA 32547 - (850) 651-7133 FAX (850) 651-7593
