BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: January 5, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Zan Fedorak SUBJECT: Request approval to award to Systems Specialists, Inc. for HVAC DEPARTMENT: Purchasing BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval to award to Systems Specialists, Incorporated for the maintenance of the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) controls and networks. BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: On December 9, 2015 bids were received for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) controls maintenance and networks. Three (3) bids were received and Facility Maintenance staff have reviewed the bids and have recommended Systems Specialists, Incorporated as the lowest most responsive bid for the annual price of $24,336.00. Upon approval of the award of the bid, staff will move forward with creation of the contract. The proposed contract will be brought back before the Board for approval. OPTIONS: Approve/Deny award to Systems Specialists, Incorporated for the maintenance of the HVAC controls and networks for an annual price of $24,336. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the award to Systems Specialists, Incorporated for the maintenance of the HVAC controls and networks for the annual price of $24,336.
