STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Staff requests Board of County Commissioners (BCC) approval of
Lease Agreement between Okaloosa County Water & Sewer (OCWS) and Dent Tech of N.W.
Florida at 1308 Oddfellow Road -Unit A, Fort Walton Beach, Florida. This unit is located in a
building owned by OCWS.
BACKGROUND: Okaloosa County Water & Sewer purchased the building on the east side of
Oddfellow Road in 2006, and currently has five tenants resulting in $37,830.00 rent annually.
This lease would be for the standard one year term - 10/1/2015 - 9/30/2016 with the option to
extend the lease for two additional terms of one year each. A copy of the lease is attached. The
lease language has been updated by the County Attorney. The annual rent for this lease will be
$6,300.00, payable as 12-$556.50 monthly payments including tax.
OPTIONS: Approve or deny the Lease Agreement with Marcus Jandran of Dent Tech of N.W.
Florida.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends approval by the BCC to authorize the Chairman
to execute the Lease Agreement with Marcus Jandran of Dent Tech of N.W. Florida for an
annual lease total of $6,300.00, payable as 12- $556.50 monthly payments including tax.
