BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: September 15, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Jeff Littrell SUBJECT: Lease Renewal - Joe's Upholstery DEPARTMENT: Water and Sewer BCC DISTRICT: ALL STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Staff requests Board of County Commissioners (BCC) approval to extend existing Lease Agreement between Okaloosa County Water and Sewer (OCWS) and Joe’s Upholstery at 1310 Oddfellow Road - Unit F in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. This unit is located in a building owned by OCWS. BACKGROUND: Okaloosa County Water & Sewer purchased the building on the east side of Oddfellow Road in 2006, and currently has five tenants resulting in $37,830.00 rent annually. This lease renewal would be for the standard one year term - 10/1/2015 - 9/30/2016. A copy of the original lease and a copy of the lease renewal are attached. The annual rent for this lease will be $5,088.00 payable as 12- $424.00 monthly payments. OPTIONS: Approve or deny the Lease Agreement Renewal for Joseph E. McKenzie of Joe's Upholstery. RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends approval by the BCC to authorize the Chairman to execute the Lease Agreement Renewal with Joseph E. McKenzie of Joe's Upholstery. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
