TOURIST DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT MEMORANDUM DATE: December 10, 2015 TO: Tourist Development Council FROM: Ed Schroeder, Tourist Development Department Director SUBJECT: Champion Contractors Contract STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval to enter into a contract with Champion Contractors Inc. for Visitors Center interior renovation. BACKGROUND: On November 18, 2015 nine (9) bids were opened for RFB TDD 79-15 for Visitor Center interior renovation. The lowest, responsive bidder was Champion Contractors Inc. with a bid price of $62,557.00. Budget funds are available for this project. The draft contract attached has been reviewed and approved by legal, but the County contract coordination process has not yet been completed. Pursuant to section E.200 of the TDD Manual, the Council shall review and provide a recommendation for all proposed contracts requiring Board approval.
