DEPARTMENT: Purchasing BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval of the contract with Tindale Oliver to prepare a transit development plan. BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: On September 1, 2015 the Board approved for staff to negotiate a contract with Tindale Oliver to prepare a transit development plan. The contract is complete and ready for the Chairman’s signature. The County has public transportation operations that include fixed route and paratransit service. The most recent five-year Transit Development Plan was adopted in 2011. There have been minor annual updates since then and a major update is due. The major update is scheduled for completion by August 1, 2016 and is due to the State no later than September 1, 2016. This contract will task Tindale Oliver to prepare the major update of the Transit Development Plan and extend the planning horizon to cover the period from FY16 to FY25. The contract will begin when fully executed by both parties and will continue to August 1, 2016. Total cost proposed by Tindale Oliver is $168,085. Staff recommends the Board approve the contract and authorize the Chairman to sign the document.
