BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: July 21, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Zan Fedorak SUBJECT: Request approval to negotiate with ES&S for voting equipment and software DEPARTMENT: Purchasing BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval to negotiate with ES&S for voting equipment and software. (RFP SOE 52-15) BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: The Supervisor of Elections requested proposals for voting equipment and software. The submittals were due July 6, 2015 and two (2) respondents submitted proposals. The appointed review committee met July 15, 2015 and unanimously voted that ES&S was the most qualified respondent. Staff requests approval to negotiate a contract with ES&S for voting equipment and software. If/when a successful contract has been negotiated; it will be brought back before the Board for approval. OPTIONS: Approve/Deny authorization to negotiate with ES&S for voting equipment and software. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of authorization to negotiate with ES&S for voting equipment and software. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
