BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: March 1, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Jason Autrey SUBJECT: Final Payment - Overbrook / Tanglewood Stormwater Improvements DEPARTMENT: Public Works BCC DISTRICT: 4 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: H&T Contractors, LLC is requesting final payment, including release of retainage, for contracted work associated with the Overbrook / Tanglewood Stormwater Improvements Project (FDEP, MOEX Grant). BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS: On November 24, 2014 Okaloosa County entered into contract with H&T Contractors, LLC to perform the work associated with the Overbrook and Tanglewood Stormwater Pond Improvements. All work has been completed and found to be in compliance with the approved plans and specifications. Substantial Completion was achieved on October 20, 2015 and Final Acceptance of the project was issued on December 10, 2015 after a final inspection was conducted by County and FDEP staff. The Contractor has submitted the final invoice and closeout documentation and is requesting final payment and release of retainage. Through the course of the project, there were five change orders resulting in a net increase of $11,887.80 (3%). A final pay application for the contract balance of $32,081.93 is attached. This final pay request will release all retainage and cause the work to enter the one year performance warranty period. The construction effort for this project was entirely funded ($413,509.30) with grant money from FDEP.
