Why does the race go to the EOD Memorial?
WWe are very proud of our ties to the military here in Bluewater Bay and we are
proud that our duathion is one of the few races in the country that race to a
National Memorial. The EOD Memorial honors fallen technicians from the
Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines.
What charities do you support?
We would like our athletes to know that ALL of our staff work on a volunteer
basis, including race management. We do contract out some work (timing,
D3, awards, etc.), but everyone else gives thelr time and talent to our event
and we LOVE them for it. Because our volunteers give so much, we are able
to mazimize what we are able to give to the community. The profits from the
2013 Duathion will go to the EC Tri Club, Wounded EOD Warrior Foundation,
Airman's Attic at Eglin AFB.
Do you have a cancellation policy for your race?
We understand that unexpected events occur, so we are introducing a new
policy this year. If you register for the race but are unable to compete, you
may volunteer for the 2013 event. If you volunteer for the event, we will
defer your entry until 2014. Please understand that we have expenses to pay
and are therefore unable to offer monetary refunds. If you are unable to
volunteer, you may have a friend or family member volunteer in your place
and also receive deferment.
J have a question that you did not answer here. Who do I ask?
You can find the Du page on Facebook or you can e-mail Dori at
ectriclub(at)ectriclub(dot)org or call 661-361-4634.
