BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: June 2, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Zan Fedorak SUBJECT: Request approval of First Amendment to B&C Fire Safety Contract DEPARTMENT: Purchasing BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: [PUR] Request Board approval of First Amendment to the contract with B&C Fire Safety, Inc. (C15-2258-FM). BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: On January, 8, 2015 the County entered into an agreement with B&C Fire Safety, Inc. for maintenance of fire extinguishers, fire alarms, and other fire safety equipment. The accompanying amendment will provide a breakdown of the services included in the contract to expedite the billing process. Neither the original bid prices nor the service will be modified by this amendment; it is only for invoicing and payment clarification. Staff also requests authorization to utilize this amendment to pay any outstanding invoices which have been previously submitted. OPTIONS: 1.) Approve/Deny the First Amendment to contract with B&C Fire Safety, Inc. (C15-2258-FM) and authorize the Chairman to sign the amendment. 2.) Approve/Deny authorization for staff to utilize this amendment to pay any outstanding invoices which have been previously submitted. RECOMMENDATION: 1.) Staff recommends approval of the First Amendment to contract with B&C Fire Safety, Inc. (C15-2258-FM) and authorization for the Chairman to sign the amendment. 2.) Staff recommends approval of the authorization for staff to utilize this amendment to pay any outstanding invoices which have been previously submitted.
