BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: August 18, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Laura Porter SUBJECT: Metlife Dental Insurance DEPARTMENT: Risk Management BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval of the Metlife contract renewal (C14-2203-RM) for fiscal year 2015-2016 for the employee dental benefit plan and authorize the Chairman to sign the related document. BACKGROUND: Employee dental insurance is offered as part of the benefits package to employees of the Board of County Commissioners, the Supervisor of Elections, the Property Appraiser, the Tax Collector and the Clerk of Circuit Court. As outlined in the Metlife contract, the monthly rates for FY 2015-2016 will increase by 5%, as reflected in the following table.
