BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: July 21, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Elliot Kampert SUBJECT: Request to approve TDP Proposal Review Committee DEPARTMENT: Growth Management BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Growth Management Department requests approval of the proposed 3-person Proposal Review Committee for the Transit Development Plan. BACKGROUND: On May 5th, 2015, the Board of County Commissioners approved the release of a Request for Proposals to develop the County's 10-year Transit Development Plan (TDP). The TDP serves as the basis for defining public transit needs and is a prerequisite to receipt of state transit funds. The last day to submit proposals was July 10th. The Purchasing Department is in receipt of two (2) proposals for review. Growth Management is proposing three people to serve on the Review Committee which consists of two county employees and one employee from the West Florida Regional Planning Council. OPTIONS: Approve or disapprove the proposed Review Committee for the Transit Development Plan. RECOMMENDATIONS: Growth Management recommends approval of the proposed Proposal Review Committee.
