STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval of the contract with KLB Contracting, LLC for
the construction of the Farmer’s Market Pavilion.
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: On February 16, 2016 the Board approved the award of the
bid for the construction of the Farmer’s Market Pavilion. The contract for the project has been
prepared and requires the Chairman’s signature. Staff requests Board approval of the contract
and authorization for the Chairman to sign the document.
The Notice of Award will be issued upon receipt of the signed contract from the Clerk of Court.
The Notice to Proceed will be issued upon receiving all bonding and insurance requirements
from the contractor which is required within 10 days of the Notice of Award. Construction is
proposed to have a duration of 45 days from the Notice to Proceed.
OPTIONS: Approve/Deny the contract with KLB Construction for the construction of the
Farmer’s Market Pavilion and authorization for the Chairman to sign the document.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the contract with KLB Construction for
the construction of the Farmer’s Market Pavilion and authorization for the Chairman to sign the
document.
