The purpose of this job description is to begin the process of getting a person qualified to become a Building Official in preparation for a future retirement. This request is not for an additional person, but to add the word "inspector" to the current title of Electrician I. Under the provisions of becoming a building official the job description must have the word "Inspector" added to the job description and work under the supervision of a Building Official for five years in route to becoming a Building Official and pending the certification test. This position will be filled in lieu of a current Electrician I position with no additional cost to the district. Mr. Steve Bolton, Program Director of Maintenance, is requesting the new job description.
