BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
AGENDA REQUEST
DATE: August 5, 2014
TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board
FROM: Dino J. Villani
SUBJECT: TeleStaff Upgrade Scope of Services Statement
DEPARTMENT: Public Safety
BCC DISTRICT: All
STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval and acknowledgement of the Scope of Services
Statement for the upgrade to the EMS TeleStaff scheduling software from v2.7 to v4.0.
BACKGROUND: Okaloosa County Department of Public Safety’s Emergency Medical
Services (EMS) Division has used the Kronos TeleStaff scheduling system since 2002. The
software is seriously outdated and will not interface with the newly purchased Kronos
Timekeeping System. The update must first be performed before the timekeeping system design
can be completed and fully implemented.
The Board approved the Department’s request to update the software and amend the contract
with TeleStaff at the May 20, 2014, Board meeting; however, the attached Scope of Services
Statement was inadvertently left out of the agenda packet and thus was not signed. Before
proceeding with the software update, TeleStaff requires acknowledgement of the Scope of
Services Statement. The $4,080.00 for Advanced Configuration was approved in May as part of
the overall cost of the update and does not represent an additional cost over the already approved
amount of $8,767.50. The coordination process has been completed.
OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Approve and acknowledge the Scope of Services Statement for the
Kronos TeleStaff software update from v2.7 to v4.0.
