BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: October 20, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Elliot Kampert SUBJECT: Request to approve JPA Supplemental Agreement for Block Grant ARN27 DEPARTMENT: Growth Management BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Florida Department of Transportation has issued a Multi-Year Notification of Grant Award to Okaloosa County for Public Transit Block Grant Funds. Okaloosa County is required to execute and submit to FDOT the JPA Supplemental Agreement #1 for Contract #ARN27 and the Authorizing Resolution in order to obligate the funds. BACKGROUND: FDOT has awarded Okaloosa County $448,183.00 in Public Transit Block Grant funding for FY15/16 through a JPA Supplemental Agreement to Contract #ARN27. Block grant State funds requires a 50 percent local match that is provided by other Grant Sources. No local General Funds are required. RECOMMENDATION: The Department of Growth Management requests that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the attached JPA Supplemental Agreement #1 for Contract #ARN27 for Transit Block Grant Funding for FY15/16, the Authorizing Resolution, and all future grant documents during the term of the grant.
