June 6, 2016 Nathan Boyles Commissioner of District 3 RE: Letter of request Dear Mr. Boyles, | am requesting consideration from the Board of County Commissioners to vacate a portion of Hilton Trail lying between the north right-of-way of Hester Church Road to the south right-of-way to Vinson Ray Road. No one lives on this portion of the requested area to be vacated and | own the farmland on both sides of the dirt road known as Hilton Trail. We travel this road everyday with farm equipment and have center pivots installed right next to the road. We have problems with trespassing and vandalism along this road regularly such as trucks and four wheelers driving on the road and into the fields that are planted and unplanted spinning donuts and leaving huge ruts that cause erosion. We are concerned for the safety of the pivots and pumps that are installed by the roadway. We often meet people (using the road as a cut through) while we are on this road with our wide equipment and no one can pass. We have had several confrontations with young people that have no respect for our person or property. Bill Adams lives on the south end of Hilton Trail and is in agreement to close Hilton Trail. | appreciate your prompt attention to this matter. With Regards, James P. Marshall
