Public Content Each school has submitted a School Performance Plan/School Improvement Plan for the 2021-2022 school year. Most schools have elected to use the district template approved by the FLDOE, while Silver Sands School, Richbourg School, Okaloosa Technical College, and Emerald Coast Career Institute North have elected to use the state template. A notebook of all SPPs will be maintained in the Assistant Superintendent of Academics and Student Services. School Performance Plans (SPPs) and School Improvement Plans (SIPs) will be filed electronically. Public Content Based on 2021 legislative updates, the Florida Department of Health is requiring a School Health Services Plan Amendment for the 2020-2022 School Health Services Plan to address these legislative updates. The two specific areas of the plan impacted by legislative updates are Involuntary Examination and Parental Consent for Health Care Services. School Board Policy 04-47 was revised on 9/13/2021 and School Board Policy 01-19 is under review and scheduled for public hearing on Nov. 8, 2021 to address these legislative updates. Additional procedures are being implemented to address both areas within the School Health Services Plan amendment. Public Content On June 28, 2021, the Okaloosa County School Board entered into a MOU with Children's Volunteer Health Network to provide no-cost dental services to students Okaloosa County Schools with parent consent. This modification, effective on Nov. 8, 2021, will allow dental assisting students from NWFSC to participate in providing services to OCSD students, with parent consent and under direct supervision of the CVHN Dentist.
