BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: May 17, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Zan Fedorak SUBJECT: Request approval of sale of Property Appraiser vehicles DEPARTMENT: Purchasing BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request to remove Property Appraiser vehicles from the fixed asset ledger. BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: Purchasing staff has been made aware by the Property Appraiser of vehicles that need to be removed from the fixed asset ledger. The Property Appraiser elected to sell the vehicles to a dealership to offset the cost of purchasing new vehicles. Purchasing staff has been provided sufficient documentation to verify the sale to Triangle Chevrolet and that the funding was properly applied to offset the cost of the new vehicles that were purchased. Staff is requesting ratification of the sale of the vehicles and authorization to remove the vehicles from the fixed asset ledger. Vehicle fixed asset numbers are listed below: 2006 Chevrolet Impala BCC6A20280 2001 Ford Crown Victoria BCC1A9263 2003 Mercury Sable BCC3A14485 2004 Mercury Sable BCC04A14834 2006 GMC Yukon BCC06B19388 2001 Ford Taurus BCC01A9264 OPTIONS: (1) Approve/Deny ratification of the sale of the vehicles listed above to Triangle Chevrolet. (2) Approve/Deny removal of the vehicles listed above from the fixed asset ledger. RECOMMENDATION: (1) Staff recommends approval of the ratification of the sale of the vehicles listed above to Triangle Chevrolet.
