STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request to move $140,000 from the Other Equip (11.42.20) line item to
the Short Range Planning (44.24.00) line item in FTA 5307 Grant FL-90-X715-00.
BACKGROUND: The Transit Development Plan (TDP) is an FDOT required, 10-year horizon plan
intended to serve as the basis for defining public transit needs which is a prerequisite to receipt of state
funds. Okaloosa County's Major update is due to FDOT by September 2016.
The Short Range Planning line item currently has a balance of approximately $60,000 which is
anticipated to be an insufficient amount for the procurement of the required Transit Development Plan
due to FDOT by September 1st, 2016. This budget revision will ensure adequate funds for the
procurement of professional services for producing the TDP.
No local funds are needed as a match for the use of the funds as requested.
The budget transfer is accomplished entirely electronically, there are no hard copy forms or other
documents to authorize for signature or submit.
OPTIONS: The Board may approve or deny the transfer.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends approval of the FTA 5307 Grant Budget
Revision for Grant number FL-90-X715-00.
