BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: November 1, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Zan Fedorak SUBJECT: Request approval to begin contract negotiation with Mission Critical Partners, Inc. DEPARTMENT: Purchasing BCC DISTRICT: ALL STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Purchasing requests Board approval to begin negotiating a contract with Mission Critical Partners, Inc. for consultant services for the Public Radio System Analysis Project. (RFQ PS 64-16) BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: Public Safety staff requested that Purchasing assist them with the procurement of consultant services for the Public Radio Analysis Project. A Request for Qualifications (RFQ) was advertised and a total of ten (10) responses were received. Purchasing staff moderated two (2) advertised Review Committee meetings and discussions progressed regarding the selection of a vendor. The second meeting included presentations from the three (3) highest ranked respondents. The Review Committee made a recommendation to begin contract negotiation with Mission Critical Partners, Inc. Purchasing staff is requesting Board authorization to negotiate with Mission Critical Partners, Inc. as the highest ranked firm with a fully responsive submission to the RFQ. The completed contract will be brought back before the Board for approval. The consultant will be responsible for providing a comprehensive analysis and operational roadmap of Okaloosa County’s Public Safety Communications System Network. OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove the authorization to begin contract negotiation with Mission Critical Partners, Inc. for consultant services for the Public Radio System Analysis Project. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval to begin contract negotiation with Mission Critical Partners, Inc. for consultant services for the Public Radio System Analysis Project.
