STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval to award bid to Infax, Inc. for the Flight
Information Display System for the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport. (RFB AP 69-16)
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: On August 31, 2016 sealed bids were due from contractors
for the Airport Flight Information Display System for the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport and
one (1) bid was received. Purchasing has received a recommendation from the Airport to award
the bid to Infax, Inc. for a total price of $56,714.36 per year. Purchasing has reviewed and
approved the recommendation provided by the department. Upon Board approval of the award of
the bid to the contractor, staff will move forward with drafting the contract which will be brought
back for approval. The initial term of the contract will be for three (3) years to begin when fully
executed by both parties. The contract will allow for two (2) additional one (1) year renewal
periods.
OPTIONS: Approve/Deny to award the bid to Infax, Inc. for the Flight Information Display
System for the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the bid to Infax, Inc. for the Flight
Information Display System for the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport.
