BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: November 3, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Jason Autrey SUBJECT: Public Event Permit - Covenant Alzheimer's Miles of Memories DEPARTMENT: Public Works BCC DISTRICT: 5 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Covenant Alzheimer's Services is requesting a Public Event Permit to raise funds for helping area families deal with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. BACKGROUND: The event will be held November 15, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The course will run along the bicycle lane on White Point Road from the fitness center to and return. The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Posse will be on hand to take care of traffic control needs. OPTIONS: Approve / Disapprove RECOMMENDATIONS: Request Board approval for a Public Event Permit for the 2015 Covenant Alzheimer's Miles of Memories 5k Run as submitted by Covenant Alzheimer's Services. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
