DEPARTMENT: Purchasing BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request Board approval of the contract with Willo Products Company, Incorporated and authorize the Chairman to sign the contract. BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: On December 16, 2014 the Board approved award of the bid to Willo Products Company, Incorporated for the replacement of storm damaged electronic door control systems at the jail. The contract has been prepared and is ready for the Chairman’s signature. Staff requests approval of the contract and the authorization for the Chairman to sign. This contract includes replacement of the door control system $106,137; replacement of the intercom system $49,680; and replacement of the closed circuit television system $32,377 for a total bid of $188,194. The contractor estimates approximately 56 days to begin the work and 28 days to complete the work. Funding is available within capital outlay proposed projects. OPTIONS: Approve/Deny the contract with Willo Products Company, Incorporated and the authorization for the Chairman to sign the contract. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the approval of the contract with Willo Products Company, Incorporated and the authorization for the Chairman to sign the contract.
