BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: February 3, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Zan Fedorak SUBJECT: Request rejection of the bids for the recycling rail roll-off truck DEPARTMENT: Purchasing BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request rejection of the bids for the recycling rail roll-off truck. BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: The Public Works Recycling Division requested to purchase a 2015 truck with a diesel engine with an outside rail roll-off. Bids were due on December 31th, 2014 and two (2) bids were received. Department representatives from Recycling and Fleet have reviewed the bids and determined that the two (2) bids received were not responsive to the specifications. Staff requests Board approval to reject the bids. Purchasing will assist Recycling staff to re-bid the vehicle. OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove the rejection of the bids received for the rail roll-off truck. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends rejection of the bids received for the rail roll-off truck. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
