Okaloosa County School
District retirees.
Public Content
The District does not have a provision for DROP extension or immediate re-
employment beyond the Deferred Retirement Option Program (DROP) for
retirees. Contracting with Staffing of St. Augustine (SS Solutions) would
provide the District with a mechanism to utilize services of retirees. The
District could enter into a contract with SS Solutions to engage the services
of retirees who are preapproved by the Superintendent. SS Solutions has
the approval of the Division of Retirement.
This agreement result in cost efficiencies because typically the contract cost
would be at a significantly lower price than the current cost of the
employee. The term of the contract is for one year, effective July 1, 2014
through June 30, 2015 and may be renewed annually based on School Board
approval.
