BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: November 3, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Ed Schroeder SUBJECT: SMP Change DEPARTMENT: Tourist Development Department BCC DISTRICT: 2,4,5 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval to correct two-page Coastal Living spread from September issue to April issue. BACKGROUND: A two-page spread in the September issue of Coastal Living was approved by the TDC on September 24 and the BCC on October 6. The two-page spread will actually be the April issue, not the September issue. This correction is being presented for approval to ensure the Strategic Marketing Plan reflects actual placement. Pursuant to Section C.200 of the Tourist Development Department Operations and Procedures Manual, the Strategic Marketing Plan (SMP) sets forth the proposed marketing activities and expenditures. The Director will apprise the TDC and BCC of changes as they become known and the Strategic Marketing Plan shall be amended quarterly to memorialize any changes. The Tourist Development Council voted to recommend approval for this correction at its October 22 meeting. OPTIONS: Approve or Disapprove RECOMMENDATION: Approve a two-page spread in the April issue of Coastal Living, rather than the September issue.
