BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: October 6, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Elliot Kampert SUBJECT: SHIP contract C11-1900-GM Final Payment Approval DEPARTMENT: Growth Management BCC DISTRICT: ALL STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request Board approval of final payment on contract C11-1900- GM to Okaloosa Community Development Corporation for administration of State Housing Initiatives Partnerships (SHIP) program. BACKGROUND: Through the SHIP program, the State of Florida allocates funds to cities and counties to be used to help economically challenged households achieve affordable housing. These funds must be spent in accordance with the local communities' Local Housing Assistance Plans. A community may administer the SHIP program in-house, or can contract the services to an outside agency. The County and Okaloosa Community Development Corporation (OCDC) entered into Agreement number C11-1900-GM on August 16, 2011 through which the OCDC provides administration of the SHIP program. While the OCDC will continue to provide SHIP administrative services pursuant to other contracts, the funds associated with C11-1900-GM have been expended such that the requested payment marks the final payment for this contract. RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve final payment to the Okaloosa Community Development Corporation pursuant to Contract C11-1900-GM.
