Consent Agenda Subject : 7.37 Revision to Stop Loss Insurance presented by Sarah Cato, Director – Risk Management, and recommended by the Superintendent for approval. Meeting : Dec 8, 2025 - Regular Meeting Type : Action (Consent) Preferred Date : Dec 08, 2025 Absolute Date : Dec 08, 2025 Fiscal Impact : Yes Budgeted : Yes Budget Source : Internal Service Fund - Medical Recommended Action : Motion to approve revision to Stop Loss insurance. Public Content On September 22, 2025, the Board approved all insurance renewals including Stop Loss for calendar year 2026. The approved Stop Loss insurance plan covered January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026, with a Specific Coverage Deductible of $300,000 per individual. The total premium was: Specific Coverage - $1,344,166 Aggregate Coverage - $25,671 Total - $1,369,837 If the Board approves joining FLEHT, the Superintendent recommends that the Stop Loss insurance be changed to January 1, 2026, through June 30, 2026. As of July 1, 2026, the District would join FLEHT. The attached renewal represents the new 6 month period. We are recommending a Specific Coverage Deduction of $200,000 per individual since the insurance will cover a shorter time period. This coverage is more expensive because the deductible is lower. The total premium would be: Specific Coverage - $865,692 Aggregate Coverage - $12,835 Total - $878,527 Please direct any questions or request for additional information to Sarah Cato at (850) 833-5823.
